The IMPACT clothes: looking good and being good.
IMPACT has a clear goal: to offer rather cool shirts, jackets, and more. And obviously, they were produced in an ecologically and socially fair way.
In order to be able to offer such clothes, we work together with a few chosen partners, which can comply with our requirements regarding social and ecological requirements und outstanding textile quality at a time. Together we work on improving the textile offer in this world and to make a significant difference in the lifes of all people involved in the IMPACT project.
The good Globalisation
We and our partners believe in and support fair and ethic trade. In order to make sure that this practise is fostered worldwide, our main partner is a founding member of the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION (FWF). The FWF was established to enhance fair working conditions in the textile industry. This means that our suppliers control the work practises in the respective factories – this is, what the seal of the FWF ensures.
The ÖKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certifies that the textiles and colouring substances are nowhere close to harming ones health; it ensures ecologically friendly production methods.
The GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD enables the signing of cotton fibres during the transfer phase from “normal” to bio-ecological production. This cotton is normally produced on soil which has been switched to biological production only recently (approx. 2-3 years ago). This is why pesticides and synthetic fertilizers can still be found in the soil’s structure for the time being. Since this transfer phase is fairly tough for the farmers involved, supporting them until they reach the full “bio cotton standard” is really important.
Sustainability … the IMPACT style
The shirts and all our stuff are meant to be fun. Everyone should wear them happily and for as long as possible … our contribution to the great idea of sustainability. And once you don’t like our shirts any more – well, give them to someone else, they deserve a long life. Quality, design, production and investing into social investments – the overall picture is way too nice that an IMPACT shirt should simply be thrown away.
